Frequently Asked Questions
How often should transformer oil be tested?
At least once a year for distribution transformers in regular service. Oil BDV (breakdown voltage) testing tells you the insulation health — falling BDV caught early needs only filtration; caught late, it can mean a burnt winding.
Can oil filtration be done at our site?
Yes — our filtration is done at site with mobile equipment, usually within a day, without moving the transformer. Only major repairs like rewinding need the transformer at the workshop.
What size transformers do you handle?

Our transformer tripped — what should we do first?
Don't re-energise it repeatedly. Note any relay indications, isolate it and call us. Re-closing onto an internal fault multiplies the damage. Many trips turn out to be external (cable/termination) faults, which are far cheaper to fix.
